Our new Erasmus+ project Connected Minds, United Actions officially started with a mobility visit to İzmir, Türkiye. For one week, our home was the hosting school in İzmir, where together with students and teachers from Portugal, Spain, Hungary, and Romania, we gained many unforgettable experiences and valuable knowledge.
The mobility programme focused on sustainability, environmental protection, and international cooperation. After attending a seminar about pollution, we participated in cleaning part of the İzmir coastline and had the unique opportunity to visit a boat that collects several tons of waste from the sea every day. This experience showed us the importance of environmental protection and responsible attitudes toward nature.
Our hosts also introduced us to the beauty of the city of İzmir and organized a trip to the ancient city of Ephesus, which impressed all participants with its history and atmosphere. Throughout the week, we not only took part in educational activities but also discovered Turkish culture and tasted traditional local dishes.
One of the greatest benefits of the mobility was staying with host families. Thanks to everyday communication, students improved their English skills, experienced daily life in Türkiye, and built new international friendships that may last a lifetime.
