
Liceul Tehnologic “Constantin Brancuși” is a vocational and technological high school in Satu Mare, Romania, near the Hungarian border, with over 100 years of tradition in technical education. The school specializes in carpentry, furniture design, wood manufacturing, and environmental protection, preparing students both for the labor market and further studies.
The school serves over 500 students aged 14–18, many of whom commute daily from rural areas and come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Liceul Tehnologic “Constantin Brancuși” is committed to inclusive and multicultural education, supporting students with Special Educational Needs, integrating Hungarian-language education, and promoting the participation of students from the Rroma community.
The school actively promotes digital education and sustainability, with modern IT facilities, participation in Erasmus+ projects, and involvement in the Eco-Schools National Program. Through partnerships with local institutions and environmental organizations, students take part in hands-on learning activities such as environmental protection campaigns and sustainability workshops.

„Unio- Traian Vuia” Technological High School
It is a vocational and technical secondary school providing education and training for an average of 500 students, mainly in the fields of mechanics, electronics and civil engineering.
“Unio- Traian Vuia” Technological High School Satu Mare is an institution that ensures the professional training and the harmonious personality development of youth, enabling them thus to successfully get integrated into the labour market.
„Unio-Traian Vuia“ Technological High School Satu Mare aims to prepare young people for the future through quality education and adapting to the needs of the community, to individual and group requirements in the context of the digital age, establishing partnership relations with the local community and with schools from the European Union.
Our institution is recognized locally and not only for:

The mission of „Unio-Traian Vuia“ Technological High School Satu Mare is to promote an open and flexible education, capable of ensuring access to education for all, regardless of social and material condition, gender, race, nationality, political or religious affiliation, from the perspective of training skills and competencies for achieving personal and professional success and integration into the community.
At the same time, the high school has the mission of developing interest in education and permanent emancipation through education focused not only on the limited needs of a profession, but also on continuous availability for knowledge and action.
The strategic objectives of the Unio-Traian Vuia Technological High School are compatible with the educational and training requirements outlined at European level. These are:
- training/improving students‘ key skills and professional competencies at the level of the standards provided in other European countries.
- developing students‘ skills for the knowledge society
- giving equal opportunities to all students regardless of their background (urban, rural), gender, religion, nationality, social status, financial status, multiculturalism, diversity
- creating an open environment for formal, non-formal and informal learning

Due to the geographical setting of our town, the region is a multicultural area, with people belonging in addition to the Romanian majority population, to other different ethnic minorities, such as Hungarian, Romani, Ukrainian and German. The multicultural aspect is visible not only at the level of our students, but also at the level of the teachers and staff. Teaching as well, occurs in two languages, Romanian and Hungarian, according to the mother tongue of the given class of students.
Our activities relevant to Erasmus + priorities are mainly concentrated in the following directions:
- Promoting and developing intercultural dialogue by sharing good practices and engaging students and teachers in common activities with people of different nationalities and languages.
- Supporting active citizenship in lifelong learning for both students and teachers.
Strengthening the transition between formal and non-formal education, vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship.
