Founded in 1915, İzmir Kız Lisesi is one of the oldest and most prestigious public secondary schools in İzmir and among the founding educational institutions of the Turkish Republic. Although originally established as a girls’ school, it became a co-educational Anatolian High School in 2000 while preserving its historic name and identity.
