
Budapesti Gazdasági SZC Terézvárosi Technikum és Szakképző Iskola is a public vocational and technical secondary school in Budapest, Hungary, offering education in business studies, economics, logistics, and IT for students aged 14–19. The school combines academic learning with practical training and digital skills development to prepare students for higher education and the labor market.
The school educates around 720 students and operates dual vocational training programs in cooperation with companies such as Spar, Tesco, and DM, providing valuable real-world experience. Alongside strong employability outcomes, the school continues to develop peer learning initiatives and interdisciplinary projects to strengthen students’ teamwork and adaptability.
With a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity, the school supports a high number of students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with learning difficulties through personalized learning plans, mentorship programs, and NGO partnerships. Ongoing efforts focus on strengthening inclusive teaching practices and digital inclusion. The school is actively engaged in digital transformation, using blended learning platforms and modern classroom technology, while working to integrate digital tools more effectively across subjects. Budapest Business Vocational Training Centre – István Varga Economic
Technicum (Budapesti Gazdasági SZC Varga István Közgazdasági Technikum) is a secondary vocational school specializing in economics, business, commerce, tourism, and education-related training.
The school has a long tradition of providing vocational education in the Commerce sector, as well as training for the Financial and Accounting Administrator qualification built upon the Business Administration and Management study field. In recent years, programs in the Tourism and Hospitality sector have become increasingly popular, leading to a significant rise in student applications and the launch of several additional classes. Since 2023, the school has also expanded its educational profile by introducing programs in the Education sector, establishing a fourth main training pathway.
Currently, the institution operates 24 full-time technical secondary school classes and 1 adult education class.
The teaching staff consists of 46 educators. While several teachers have been working at the school for many years, most joined the institution in recent years. The faculty is relatively young, with only 17% of staff members over the age of 50, creating a dynamic and innovative educational environment.
The school’s infrastructure effectively supports modern teaching and learning. Every classroom is equipped with a computer and projector, several classrooms feature interactive whiteboards, and Wi-Fi access is available throughout the entire building. In addition, students and teachers benefit from five fully equipped computer laboratories and an expanded professional resource centre.
The school building itself is one of the institution’s distinctive strengths. It offers spacious interiors and stands out for its architectural and aesthetic quality, providing an attractive and inspiring environment for both students and staff.
International Experience
The school has not yet participated in a KA2 Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project, making future international cooperation projects an important opportunity for institutional development, innovation, and the strengthening of European partnerships.
