ZŠ Vlára Slavičín is one of the most important educational institutions in the town of Slavičín. The school has long used the motto “A School for Everyone,” which reflects its effort to create a safe, modern, and friendly environment for education and personal development.

The school is a fully organized primary school with extensive facilities for education, sports, and extracurricular activities. It also includes an after-school club, a school club, and a school cafeteria. Teaching takes place in two separate buildings – the main building for grades 5–9 is located on Školní Street, while the first stage of primary education is situated at a separate campus on K Hájenkám Street.

The school places great emphasis on modern approaches to education. Teachers use digital technologies, project-based learning, and various forms of teamwork among students. The goal is not only to provide knowledge but also to develop independence, responsibility, and cooperation skills. The school encourages students to build healthy self-confidence and teaches them respect for other people and cultural values.

ZŠ Vlára Slavičín is also very active in extracurricular projects and activities. The school has participated in programs such as Eco-School as well as numerous sports and academic competitions. One of its major achievements came in the “Governor’s Cup” competition, where the school won first place both in the Zlín Region and in the national finals. This success highlighted the school’s strong focus on sports and healthy living.

The school is closely connected to the life of the town of Slavičín. It organizes cultural events, competitions, ecological projects, and charity activities. Students regularly participate in recitation, sports, and knowledge competitions, representing both the school and the town throughout the region. An important part of school life is the students‘ parliament, which has existed since 2001 and helps improve the school atmosphere and relationships among students.

Thanks to its modern facilities, experienced teachers, and wide range of activities, ZŠ Vlára Slavičín is a school that aims to prepare children not only for further studies but also for everyday life. For many students and parents, it is a symbol of quality education, open communication, and a friendly environment.
